- How long does the program run? And how, and how far ahead, does it renew?
- What’s refundable? Build fees and development often aren’t.
- Who owns the site? Get it in writing before you pay a build fee.
- Who writes the copy? Some agencies charge for each page.
- How do RFQs reach you? With drawings attached, and controlled data kept off the public site.

How much does a manufacturing website cost?
weCreate publishes prices: a machine shop starter site from $2,495 and custom sites from $7,500, then hosting from $35 a month. Thomasnet and MFG Empire quote each project. Happy Websites is $99 or $199 a month with no build fee.
What does Thomasnet offer besides a website?
A supplier directory. Thomasnet lists more than 500,000 suppliers for about 2.2 million registered buyers, and sells listing ads alongside websites. Happy Websites doesn’t sell directory listings; we build the website buyers land on.
Do I own a website from a manufacturing agency?
Ask before you sign. MFG Empire’s terms transfer your work product once it’s paid in full, as your contract sets out. weCreate’s public terms don’t say, and Thomas doesn’t say publicly. With Happy Websites, the site and the domain are yours.
Can I get a refund on a manufacturing website?
Rarely on the build. weCreate’s terms refund web hosting within 30 days, but not website development. Happy Websites has no build fee to lose and no contract.
