Websites for daycares and preschools

Parents choose childcare carefully, usually on a phone during a lunch break. Your website has to show who you care for, what a day looks like, what it costs, that you’re licensed and how to come and visit. Childcare centers, preschools and in-home programs: we design, build, host and update that site for one flat monthly price.

What a childcare website needs

Five things a parent looks for.

1

Ages, openings and the waitlist

Say which ages you take, whether you have openings now or a waitlist, and when spots usually open up. Parents planning months ahead want to know where they stand.

  • ✓Infant, toddler, preschool and pre-K rooms
  • ✓Full-time, part-time and half-day options
  • ✓Current openings or the waitlist
  • ✓Summer and school-age care, if you offer it
  • ✓How enrollment works
2

Tuition, in plain numbers

Weekly or monthly tuition by age, what it includes (meals, diapers, supplies), registration fees and how payment works. If you accept state childcare assistance, say so.

3

A day in the life

Walk parents through the day: drop-off, play, meals and snacks, naps, outside time and pickup.

Real photos of your rooms and playground do more than any stock photo. Children’s faces only appear when their parents have agreed in writing.

4

Licensing, ratios and safety

Parents want to see that you’re licensed, how many children each teacher looks after, how pickup works and how you handle allergies and sick days. Put it where they’ll find it, in plain words.

If you hold a state quality rating or an accreditation, show it exactly as your current certificate does. Use "licensed" or "certified" the way your state does.

5

Tours, booked from a phone

Most families want to visit before they enroll. We put a "Schedule a tour" button on every page, linked to brightwheel, Procare or whatever you use, or to a simple request form that comes to your inbox.

Daycare website FAQ

What should a daycare website include?

The ages you take and your openings, tuition and what it includes, hours, meals and a typical day, licensing, ratios and safety policies, photos of your rooms, and a way to book a tour from a phone.

Can you link to brightwheel or Procare?

Yes. Tour and waitlist buttons can go straight to the childcare software you already use. If you don’t use one, tour requests come to your inbox.

Can we show photos of the children?

Only with their parents’ written permission. We can build the site around your rooms, playground and activities, and add children’s photos as families agree.

Do I have to put my home address on the site?

It depends on your state. Kentucky, for one, requires any advertisement for childcare to show the address where care is given, and your website counts. Check your state’s licensing rules, and we’ll show the address the way they require.

How much does a daycare website cost?

The same as any Happy Websites site: $99/mo for a one-page site or $199/mo for five to seven pages. Design, writing, hosting and unlimited edits are included, with no setup fee and no contract.

Do we own our website and domain?

Yes. Your domain, your content, your site. If you ever leave, we hand everything over and help you move.

Ready for a site parents trust?

Tell us about your program: the ages you take, your rates and how families enroll. Send a few photos of your rooms, and we’ll build the site around them.
