Websites for trucking companies

Two kinds of people visit a carrier’s website: shippers and brokers checking whether you can move their freight, and drivers deciding whether to work for you. Your site has to answer both, fast. We design, build, host and update it for one flat monthly price.

What a carrier’s site needs

Five things shippers and drivers look for.

1

Equipment and lanes

List your trailers and trucks, the freight you haul and the lanes you run. A shipper or broker should know in seconds whether you fit the load.

  • ✓Trailer types, lengths and capacities
  • ✓Freight you haul, and what you don’t
  • ✓Regular lanes and service area
  • ✓Dedicated, spot and expedited
  • ✓Warehousing or drayage, if you offer it
2

Authority, insurance and safety

Show your legal name, USDOT and MC numbers as text, matching your FMCSA registration, with a link to your SAFER snapshot. Give your insurance limits from your actual certificate, and send the certificate on request.

Keep safety claims to your rating as FMCSA shows it: no "DOT certified", and no CSA scores the public can’t see. If you also arrange loads for other carriers, we only call it brokerage when you hold broker authority.

3

A quote path for shippers

A short form with origin, destination, freight, weight and dates, sent straight to your dispatch inbox, plus a phone number that’s answered.

4

A jobs page drivers trust

Drivers compare pay, home time, equipment and benefits. Put real numbers on the page, with the pay basis and a typical week rather than "earn up to", plus the CDL and experience you require.

A short interest form gets the conversation going from a phone. The full application stays on your own signed form, or in Tenstreet or another applicant system, where we link the Apply button.

5

Proof you’re a real operation

Photos of your own trucks and yard, how long you’ve been running and who answers the phone go a long way with a broker who’s never heard of you.

Trucking website FAQ

What should a trucking company website include?

Your equipment and lanes, the freight you haul, your USDOT and MC numbers, a quote form for shippers, photos of your own trucks, and a driver jobs page with pay, home time, benefits and an easy way to apply.

Can you build a driver recruiting page?

Yes. A jobs page with your pay, home time, equipment, benefits and requirements, and an Apply button that goes to your inbox or straight to Tenstreet or whatever applicant system you use.

Do you run recruiting ads?

No. We build and run the website. If you advertise for drivers, your ads can point at the jobs page we build.

How much does a trucking company website cost?

The same as any Happy Websites site: $99/mo for a one-page site or $199/mo for five to seven pages. Design, writing, hosting and unlimited edits are included, with no setup fee and no contract.

Do we own our website and domain?

Yes. Your domain, your content, your site. If you ever leave, we hand everything over and help you move.

Ready for a site brokers and drivers take seriously?

Tell us about your fleet, your lanes and the drivers you’re hiring. Send photos of your trucks, and we’ll build the site around them.
